We hear from the women and girls behind a small farm in Zambia’s far northeast, who are adopting new farming techniques in the hopes of saving our planet.

Ros Russell presents a special episode of the Leader podcast, as part of the Let Girls Learn series, where we’re shining a light on innovations and solutions that are helping girls to fulfil their right to healthy, productive futures around the world.

Southern Africa, like many other regions of the world, has recently endured a series of droughts, floods and dramatic seasonal changes - all linked to climate change.

The women on this farm in Chinsali are practising what’s called climate-smart agriculture, to equip themselves for an uncertain future as weather patterns rapidly change. Afterwards, they go into schools to teach others how to farm and become independent.
